6 Reasons Why We All Need a Best Friend

A sorrow shared is a sorrow halved ,just as a happiness shared is a happiness doubled. And since we can't share all our problems or our triumphs with everybody, God has blessed each and every one of us with at least one close chum we can fall back on at the end of each day. The most beautiful part of friendship is, it transcends all barriers- age, sex, caste, creed ,religion or race. For me, the best part of each day is the time of the evening I share with my mother, and we pour  our hearts out to each other in a tete-a-tete over a cup of tea. So, I shortlisted six reasons why we all need a close friend, in order to make everyone aware of the blessing they have called a true friend .

• A good friend is a good listener- No matter what we've gone through the entire day, we can actually share all that with our close buddy. And that close buddy won't mind listening to our crap and endless rantings until our heart is satisfied. What are close chums for, after all?
• Comfort- As I mentioned earlier, we are not comfortable sharing our problems with everyone. So we need that one person wont judge us by our actions but will instead understand our problems and try to fix them.
• Connectedness- There are certain things you share in common with your close friend. It might be a common interest in sports,  a fetish for books, or a penchant for cooking, or it can just the way you both look at things, i.e. the basic philosophies of life. This is what makes two persons the closest of friends and helps to create an everlasting bonding.
• Fun - One of the various connotations for the word friendship is fun. And that's the kind of fun that takes place when two close friends are together- whether its going ROFL over a joke only you both understand, quarreling over whose crush is better looking, or rubbing cake cream all over each others faces!
•  A true friend gives honest opinions- It is important to have that one person who is candid enough to tell us what we're doing is right or wrong. Whether it comes down to a dress we're wearing,  our behavior in public, or an unscrupulous act of having cheated on someone. True friends back us, but at the same time help us see things in a better light.
• A good friend is essentially a 3am friend-  Yes, one of the biggest reasons why we all need a best friend. If you're feeling depressed in the middle of the night and you're on the verge of tears, all you want is the company of a close bud. And sometimes, it might not be possible for your close pal to be physically present, but all it takes is to dial his/her number on your phone. Sometimes you don't even need to speak, but the feeling of having your friend on the other side of the phone provides a whole lot of comfort.

That's the kind of friendship we all look forward to in our lives. And if you look hard, I'm sure you'll find that one person in life who deserves to be called a best friend. The person who has been silently helping you in many ways, but their endeavors to make you happy went unnoticed ! And all though it is not friendship day, I decided to write this post because we don't need to celebrate a beautiful bond such as friendship on a special day of the year! Friendship Day Special

A year passed in a jiffy, and yet again, Friendship Day is back with its delights! This time I dedicate this post to all those who’re still in a quest of finding a true friend.

Well, to begin with, a true friend is certainly someone who makes you smile, at least once a day, and doesn’t care to ask you before he munches away your share of meal. Generally, he’s the one who pings you and straight away starts a conversation, without even saying a “hi”. He might laugh at your follies, but will never abandon you in your hard times. He’ll get annoyed if you don’t ring him up at least once a day. He won’t mind cracking the wackiest jokes with you. 

He may sacrifice some of his interests for your sake and will never hesitate to help you out in times of need. The most important of all, you can trust him with your biggest secrets.

 When you are in desperate need of someone, to whom you can pour your heart out , you’ll have his number at your fingertips. And probably, he’s the one who may not find it necessary to wish you on Friendship Day!

Now, probably you’re doing a bit of brainstorming. Well carry on, and if you think you have such a person in your life, then he deserves to be called a true friend. Treasure your friendship, take his weaknesses to translate them into positives. That’s how you can build up an eternal friendship. 

Dedicated To My Friends

I often sit and think what my life would be without my friends. And it is then I realize how much my friends mean to me, how much they care about me. So this is something I want to dedicate to all my dear friends.

I asked God for a companion

Make Your True Friend Feel Special

Who do you call a true friend? For me, it's someone who is always beside you, through thick and thin. Well, one thing is certain, a true friend is the biggest treasure in your life. If you have a true friend,  no misery can ever let you down.

So, this friendship day, how would  you like to thank your dear friend for being there beside you always? . You know, only an e-card is not enough. Even the most expensive gifts are not enough. The best way to thank your friend is to make him realize how special he/she is for you, how much he/she means to you.  A few simple words and a hug filled with love is the best way you can thank your friend. So what are you waiting for? If you have a true friend then go and tell him how treasured he is. I hope your friendship lasts forever and grows even more deep this Friendship Day.

They say music is a universal language. Music is loved by all and it reflects different thoughts and emotions of  life.

Music often reminds us of sweet memories. Has it ever happened that you have switched on your i-pod to a tune you haven't listened to for a long time, and suddenly it reminds you of some blissful days, which you would like to cherish again? 

I've always experienced it. Music makes sweet memories even more memorable. Music always gives me company in different moods of life. How can I forget the numerous meet ups with my friends?  All had a different fun, and some special music which made them so enjoyable. 

Music has added different colors to each day of my life. It is because of music that I can say "I make memories and I live them."
